Mark Ruffalo has made his stance on Climate Change clear through numerous Tweets, interviews, and public appearances. He has strongly voiced his opinions on saving the environment and investing time, money, and resources into the cause. The MCU actor spoke on many panels against pipelines, go-channels, and other multinational corporations that expose their employees or customers to dangerous toxins.

Mark Ruffalo also has a long history of backing indigenous tribes, and in 2016 he participated in a protest on the ground at Standing Rock. The three-time Oscar nominee is now one of 65 famous people who have signed an open letter urging the Royal Bank of Canada to stop supporting the 416-mile Coastal GasLink project.

Recently the actor took to Twitter to inform and educate people about eco-friendly ways we can use Mushrooms. He used the BBC report titled,The mushrooms you may wear and build with.The actor went on to educate his followers on how mushrooms can be used for environment-friendly purposes instead of just recreational activities. The actor Tweeted,

Oksana Bondar, director of design at Biohm explains,
“We are focused on solving global challenges, and one of the largest in terms of impact on the planet and ecosystem is the construction industry. We looked deeper into waste streams, and types of materials, and the fabric of buildings, and one of the largest commodities is insulation. The idea was to tackle one of the challenges with a natural solution.”

The research focuses on using the roots structure of the Mushroom and creating industry goods like insulation panels. These Mushroom structures can help replace plastic in several materials erasing the need for plastics which are a huge environmental hazard.
