Actor and Oscar-winning filmmaker Clint Eastwood has given Hollywood some of its timeless classics. Recognized as an icon in the Western film genre, he has not only starred in but has also directed several iconic Western movies, includingPaint Your Wagon, Gran Torino, For A Few DollarsMore, andCry Macho. The latter has been regarded as his last Western film and his last acting credit as well. Released in 2021, the movie is now making its streaming debut on Prime Video.

Clint Eastwood’s Final Western Film Added to Prime Video

Based on N. Richard Nash’s 1975 novel of the same name, the neo-Western drama filmCry Macho,features Clint Eastwood as a former rodeo star who attempts to reconnect a boy with his father in Mexico. The film underperformed at the box office after it was released simultaneously released in theatres and on Max.

The movie movie garnered mixed reviews touching upon its tone, themes, and execution. The cast of the film, including Eastwood and Eduardo Minett, also received polarizing reviews for their performance. However, despite everything, the film is considered to be one of the best Western films of his career. Two years after its release,Cry Machois finally making its streaming debut on Amazon’s Prime Video in Ireland and the UK.

Clint Eastwood is Reportedly Working on His Final Film

Earlier this year,Discussing Filmrevealed that Clint Eastwood’s next movie,Juror #2, is expected to be the final film of his decades-long career in Hollywood. The thriller film is under development at Warner Bros. and is expected to star Toni Collette alongside Nicholas Hoult.

The movie reportedly follows a juror involved in a murder trial who is conflicted between whether he should manipulate the jury to believe in his innocence or turn himself in after he realizes that his actions might have caused the victim’s death.

Filming for the 93-year-old filmmaker’s final film reportedly started in June this year but was halted due to the actors’ strike.Juror #2resumed production earlier this month after the strike was resolved.The Hollywood Reporterrecently revealed that theAiractor Chris Messina has also joined the cast of the upcoming film in the role of a public defender.

Along with Hoult and Collette, the movie is also set to star Gabriel Basso, Zoey Deutch, Leslie Bibb, and Kiefer Sutherland. Clint Eastwood will not be starring in the movie and has taken directing and producing roles in the film’s production. There is not much available about the movie’s release schedule.
