According to popular Twitch streamer and known leaker “The Snitch,” one of 2022’s best games,God of War Ragnarök,will be seeing a DLC soon, which is allegedly already pretty deep into its development period. Development on the supposedly upcoming expansion is apparently about “60% complete” and is intended to be released next year.

Is God of War Ragnarök getting a new DLC next year, or is a new game in the works instead?

While in the past The Snitch was known as an extremely reliable source and often posted very accurate information, the account has since been handed off to a different user. As a result, it is hard to determine the accuracy of new information from the account. However, he has recently revealed supposedly accurate information about the upcoming Sony gameRise of Ronin, but information from the leaker should still be taken with a grain of salt.

The director for God of War Ragnarök said not to count on any DLC being made, but have things changed?

New God of War DLC or a Brand New Game?

Yesterday, we exclusively reported on what we have heard about an upcomingGod of Wargame from Santa Monica Studio. While all of these are rumors, it is possible there is both a new game and a DLC in development, or perhaps they are the same project as told by different sources. Until official word is given, we will simply have to take any supposed leaks as rumors.

It is also worth noting that in November of last yearGod of WarRagnarökdirector Eric Williams had shot down the idea of DLC for the game when asked about it.

“Um, I don’t know man”, Williams said. “That game is big. I think we put everything we had into it so I wouldn’t count on it.”

As such, should a DLC already be so deep into development, one would think it would have at least been in the earlier planning stages by that point, unless it is not particularly expansive.

The Snitch did not provide any further information about the supposed DLC, just stating that it is coming. As such, there is nothing to say about its potential plot, environment, mechanics, or even if it is primarily story-driven vs. simply a new mode for the popular action game.
