Marvel’s Disney+ SeriesSecret InvasionTurned Into A Disaster
In retrospect,Secret Invasion, whichwas once considered MCU’s master plan to revive its lost reputation featuring the A-listers of Hollywood, was probably not a great idea. Despite revolving around the comic book story about shapeshifting Skrulls and having loads of top-shelf heroes, the Disney+ show failed to achieve its goal.
Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, andEmilia ClarkestarringSecret Invasionalthough started with hype, eventually faced an anticlimactic ending, as it reached its final episode. Although the show initially started with a 52% RT rating, it gradually faced a drop after the 2nd episode. Eventually, the show ended with a bitter 13% RT rating, which turned out to be MCU’s lowest-rated project.

While the show was supposed to be MCU’s savior, especially after its enormous hype,Secret Invasionturned into a disaster for Marvel Studios. Despite promising big twists, the show simply killed off important and beloved characters, which seems to have caused the ultimate damage to the series. So much so that the show is now being compared as a subordinate toAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Fans CallSecret InvasionA Second Fiddle ToAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It is believed that Disney was wrong to considerSecret Invasionas a safe plan in the wake of theInfinity WarandEndgamemovie arc. After previously having an all-star lineup forThe Avengersmovies, it was downright unreasonable for MCU to expect the same from Samuel L. Jackson’s Disney+ show.
Thus, fans claimed thatSecret Invasionwas never able to deliver the “Who can you trust?” paranoia thatAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.did flawlessly. Further, criticizing the idea of swapping two familiar faces over six episodes, fans blamed the plotline for the show’s downfall. DegradingSamuel L. Jackson‘s Disney+ series even more, fans trolled it as a second fiddle toAgents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ngl MCU really fucked up secret invasion. They could’ve taken their time, made span into shows and other movies. Could’ve been a saga even better than Infinity saga but they rushed it and added xters we don’t know and it was just a messy show all in all. Their “shocking” scenes..https://t.co/W4rQRHogta
