Levi Ackerman has been on the brink of death multiple times inAttack on Titandue to Hajime Isayama’s need to kill off his hero and the editor’s refusal for the same. Even at the end of the series, Ackerman is blinded by an explosion such that he spends the remainder of his years in a wheelchair. Apparently, Isayama got the last laugh over the editors.
Fans have seen and related to Levi’s journey to curb the Titan rampage beyond the wall. From being the son of a prostitute to a hardened soldier, the Captain had come a long way. Isayama had an idea about more backstory for the character as revealedduring an interview.
