Rufino is a new ally you can recruit, which was added to Assassin’s Creed Shadows in the version 1.06 Title Update.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has just released its newest collaboration with Critical Role. You can not only take part in a new free quest, but also gain a new recruit to assist you in your missions going forward.
The new ally for this collaboration is called Rufino, which is based on a character from Critical Role’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows One-shot campaign. Here is how to recruit this character to your side.

How To Find Rufino in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
You need to meet some requirements before you’re able to start the process to recruit Rufino. Firstly, you must have completed the Way of the Blacksmith quest and also have Yasuke unlocked.
You can proceed to your hideout if you meet both the criteria mentioned above. Here, you will find Rufino peering at your hideout from close by. Talk to him to start the ‘A Critical Encounter’ quest. You can read more about completing that questhere.
Once that quest is done, the ‘Hunting the Hunters’ quest will start.

How To Recruit Rufino in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
You must assassinate a long list of targets to get a shot at recruiting this ally. There will be six total targets you must eliminate first to continue. These are:
You can go back to Rufino once you have slain the above targets. This will initiate the hunt for the Architect. Your hunt will take you to Lake Biwa, in the Omi region. There will be a small piece of land in the middle of this lake, west of the Takeshima Kakeruga.
(Note:The Scholar will also be slain at the end of this quest, without any extra intervention on your part.)
Proceed to this location and complete your task of slaying the Architect, using either Naoe or Yasuke. Once it is complete, a cutscene will play out, and Naoe and Yasuke will ask Rufino to join them. That was everything to know about recruiting Rufino in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
