Japanese state broadcaster NHK recently gave us a behind-the-scenes scenario of the cast during the final part. They posted a clip of the voice actors on their official X (Formerly Twitter) account.
A June 27, 2025 video portrayed the voice actor of Mikasa, Yui Ishikawa, delivering her parting words to Eren’s character as she kills him, fulfilling Ymir’s wish and saving the world. She immediately starts crying after the recording ends, along with her colleagues, who are overwhelmed by the predicament.

Mikasa’s voice actor, Yui Ishikawa breaks down to tears at Mikasa’s final scene with Eren in Attack on Titan
Mikasa has been one of the characters impacted the most emotionally by the anime’s finale. The absolute dilemma that she would have to kill the person she loves to prevent genocide would have been immense. Her voice actor completely broke down after recording the final scene where she bids her final goodbye to Eren. Moments after she delivered the line,“Itterasshai, Eren,”translating to“See you again, Eren,”Ishikawa breaks down in tears. Eren’s voice actor, Yuki Kaji, and Armin’s voice actor, Marina Inoue, rush to comfort her while crying. All three are given flowers to mark the special occasion and their monumental efforts.

The post-credit sequences for the final part ofAttack on Titandid leave room for a potential sequel. However, the Mangaka of the series, Hajime Isayama, has repeatedly stated that part two needs to be put in the works. Additionally, we’ll be getting a short manga next year, which will probably focus on Levi Ackerman.

Fans had quite an interesting way to mark the ending of Attack on Titan
Fans have expressed themselves in intriguing ways to mark the ending toAttack on Titan. There have been instances of people coming together and holding a funeral for Eren. Videos of this incident have gone viral in China. Fans were also preparing laid-out emotional speeches and the lighting of incense at an altar. The series’ final part, which started in April 2013, indeed tweaked with our emotions. This dark shonen saga continued for over a decade with 90 episodes and two specials. The series was directed by WIT Studio for Seasons 1 to 3 and MAPPA for Season 4 onward.
