Bridgertonstar Nicola Coughlan teases the third season of the hitRegency serieswith an Instagram post. The Netflix show has been a major success since it launched in December 2020.
Thesecond seasonarrived this March and gave the fans a more exciting enemies-to-lovers story between Anthony Bridgerton (played by Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (played by Simone Ashley). The series is based on Julia Quinn’s books.
Bridgerton Season 3 Will Focus On Penelope And Colin
Season 3 will divert from the author’s original set-up. The third book initially focused on Benedict (Luke Thompson), but, this time, they shifted the attention to Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan).
Fans have witnessed Penelope’s secret admiration for Colin in the first and second seasons. At the end of Season 2, Colin crushes Penelope’s heart by brushing off the idea of courting her. The third season will carry on their story; however, Netflix is still quiet about details.
But, Coughlan somehow took her role as Lady Whistledown in real life and posted an intriguing image on her Instagram stories. The image reads: “Bridgerton 3 Ep One.” Before that, she also posted aphoto of her and Newton.

The overnight success of theBridgertonphenomenon made this season’s renewal possible. While the series will most likely roll out in the coming weeks, fans won’t have to wait too long until Netflix releases it by early 2023. Assuming the production won’t have any delays, this may seem a possible schedule given that no specific release date has been announced yet.
Bridgertonis one of the biggest Netflix shows to date and the majority of the original cast is expected to return for the third part. With the audience’s familiarity with Penelope and Colin’sblossoming romance, the expectation is too high.
With Coughlan’s constant updates about the show’s progress, fans will have to keep their eyes peeled. Besides, everyone wants to know the latest from Lady Whistledown.
