Yes, trainers can evolve Hisuian Voltorb in Pokemon Go. All you have to do is save up50 Voltorb candiesand tap the evolve button that is officially on the in-game character screen.
When the Niantic surprised trainers by bringing the ancient form Voltorb into Pokemon Go with its firstLegends Arceus event, they did not include the option to evolve the newly released regional form.
However, on June 30, 2025, Niantic launched the ‘Poke Ball Prep‘ event to prepare trainers for the upcomingPokemon Go Johto Tour.Alongside the event, the developers have released the new Voltorb form’s long-awaited evolution: Hisuian Electrode.
In Pokemon Legends Arceus,evolving Hisuian Voltorb is also possible.The ancient form of Voltorb and Electrode are now grass and electric typing instead of only electric type like its Kanto variant.
However, with the added type, GameFreak also made the monster require a Grass Stone to evolve.
