Despite having truckloads of talent combined with superstardom, Hollywood star Charlie Sheen is notoriously famous for his off-screen controversies. Apart from problems related to alcohol and drug abuse, the actor has been at the center of marital problems and domestic violence disputes as well. Sheen lost his biggest gig when his contract with the massive hit television seriesTwo and a Half Menwas terminated after he made derogatory comments about the series creator Chuck Lorre.
Twelve years later, the producer and actor seem to have mended their broken relationship and have let bygones be bygones. Sheen and Lorre are back to collaborating, this time for another sitcom, in which theTwo and a Half Menactor appears in a recurring role.

Charlie Sheen Returns to Television withHow To Be A Bookie
It’s water under the bridge for Chuck Lorre andCharlie Sheentwelve years after their public fallout fromTwo and a Half Men.The award-winning producer and thePlatoonstar are back together this time to collaborate on a comedy seriesHow to be a Bookiewhich will be headlined by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco. This single-camera sitcom co-written by Lorre and Nick Bakay will see Sheen in a recurring role.
The show based in Los Angeles follows a veteran bookie played by Maniscalco who struggles to survive the impending legalization of sports gambling, increasingly unstable clients, family, co-workers, and a lifestyle that throws him curveballs from every corner. Lorre, who is directing the first episode is also the executive producer through his company Chuck Lorre Productions which has a standing deal with WBTV.How to Be a Bookieis currently under production. Details about Charlie Sheen’s role are yet to be revealed.

Charlie Sheen’s Public Spat With Chuck Lorre In A Nutshell
Despite collaborating on one of the most successful sitcoms on television for 8 years, producer Chuck Lorre and actor Charlie Sheen had a very public fallout which saw the star’s contract with the show being permanently terminated. Their relationship came to an abrupt end in the spring of 2011 when Sheen’s public meltdown and caustic verbal attacks on Lorre led to his firing. Sheen spared no words when he referred to Lorre as a turd, a maggot, and a clown among other abuses.The Three Musketeersstar went on to sue Lorre and WBTV for 100 million dollars for wrongful termination of his contract. This lawsuit was ultimately settled to both parties’ satisfaction.
Following this, Charlie Sheen was replaced by Ashton Kutcher in Two and a Half Menand the actor minced no words in his brutal takedown of the show and his replacement. Sheen was quoted to have said,
“I’m tired of lying. I’m tired of pretending the show didn’t suck. I’m tired of pretending Ashton didn’t suck.”
After this caustic criticism, Sheen regretted his words and went on to apologize to Ashton Kutcher in a letter that was posted online. The star also took responsibility for his actions involving Chuck Lorre andTwo and a Half Men.
