With a star-studded cast of George Clooney, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris O’Donnell, and, Uma Thurman, the movie went on to make a whopping $232.8 million at the global box office in 1997. The movie exceeded its budget of $160 million which was quite surprising for the people considering how they mercilessly troll the movie.
Following the almost career-ending movie, Clooney admitted in an interview that he indeed regretted starring in the movie in the first place. TheGravityactor had said that he almost destroyed theBatmanfranchise.George Clooneyfurther stated that he hasn’t allowed his wife to watchBatman and Robinsince he wants her to have some respect for the actor.

After his failure asBatman and Robinstood at a record low of 3.7/10 on IMDB and 12% on Rotten Tomatoes, George Clooney realized his failure. In an interview, the actor got candid and told that he felt he was more responsible than just acting in a movie.

He decided that he would choose better scripts since according to Clooney,“you can’t make a good film out of a bad script”.Clooney however did admit that he had a lot of fun while on the sets ofBatman and Robinas the movie became a memorable project of his career.
“Some of the best films have been the least fun experiences and some of the worst, I’ve made lifelong friends out of it. It’s the kind of thing where the memory of the film is very different than how it was reviewed.”
