Upcoming games for Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles have got fans as excited as ever, as 2023 continues to be an amazing year for gamers. That hasn’t stopped the console wars on either side of the camps as gamers also continue to brag about the exclusives on their respective favorite consoles. That being said, some major games have been coming in thick and fast this year, and many more are expected over the remainder of the year as well.

Bethesda’s Starfield was released last month, giving Xbox gamers an amazing title to brag about, whileMarvel’s Spider-Man 2has just released which is bound to make any Xbox gamer green with envy.
Best Games To Have Released This Year, So Far
2023 has been a splendid year so far with some memorable games having already been released to amazing reviews. WhileRedfallandThe Lord of the Rings: Gollumreceived average ratings from critics and mixed reviews from gamers, it has otherwise been a star-studded lineup of games.
Starfieldwas released just last month and received an amazing response. While a lot of the usual Bethesda bugs never made it to this expensive title, the game still got called out for several other reasons, but still holds out as one of the best releases of the year, even more so on Xbox.

Over on the PlayStation camp,Final Fantasy 16by Square Enix was released on the 22nd of June this year and got highly rated by both critics and fans alike. The game is a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive for now and remains a must-play title on the console.
Ubisoft’sAssassin’s Creed Mirageis another recent release that has topped the charts since release. Released earlier this month,Miragebrings back the parkour and stealth approach that the Assassin’s Creed franchise is known for.

Electronic Arts’Star Wars Jedi: Survivorhad a rather quiet release this year, as the game was critically well-acclaimed but wasn’t equally received by fans. The game continues the story from the previous title,Star Wars: Fallen Order.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomhas been a stand-out exclusive to have come out on the Nintendo Switch this year. Touted as a remarkable sequel toThe Legend ofZelda: Breath of the Wild, the game has improved upon the previous title, which was also rated quite highly. While Nintendo looks forward to another exclusive later this year, the game will serve well to be a title that will be played beyond 2023.

Other amazing titles to have come out this year includeHogwarts Legacy, Forspoken, Forza Motorsport,andDead Spaceremake by Electronic Arts. Suffice it to say this year has been brilliant for gamers on all consoles, and here’s what to expect from the remainder of the year.
Upcoming Games On All Platforms Later This Year and in 2024
Nintendo has two amazing titles to look forward to before 2023 draws to an end, as the much-anticipatedSuper Mario RPGis all set to release next month, on the 17th of November.Super Mario RPGis a full-fledged remake of the SNES title with upgraded graphics, all of the characters including Mario, Bowser, Geno, Mallow, and several others.
Switch fans are waiting for two other upcoming games, asBatman: Arkham Trilogyis coming out on the 1st of December, 2023. The trilogy will includeBatman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City,andArkham Knight. Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1is getting released on the 24th later this month.

Apart fromMarvel’s Spider-Man 2, PlayStation gamers can also look forward to the highly-anticipated FinalFantasy 7: Rebirthcoming out on the 29th of February 2024, along withHelldivers 2which is coming out on the 8th of February next year. Two other upcoming games are also awaited eagerly,Marvel’s WolverineandDeath Stranding 2both of which are yet to get a final release date.
Finally, Xbox gamers already have the recently releasedForza Motorsportto look forward to,Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2andAvowed, both of which will be Xbox exclusives.Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024has no release date but is expected to be released towards the end of next year.
With a plateful of upcoming games to look forward to on each of the three major consoles at the moment, the console wars can well and truly end at this point. There are a lot of titles for gamers to look forward to, and with plenty more on the horizon, things will look even better once planned titles get a final release date on all three consoles.
