There are many celebrities in the film industry who have left their wrestling career to establish themselves in Hollywood. Among them are two WWE legends, Dwayne Johnson and John Cena, who are not just big names in the industry today but are also renowned for their professional wrestling background.
Both Cena and the Rock have delivered many incredible movies throughout their careers, and talking about their former profession, they are no less than legends. But there has always been an age-old debate over who is a better wrestler, Cena or The Rock?

Considering their professional history of wrestling, Cena and Johnson, both have left a mark on the WWE Universe, but when it comes to comparison between the two, Cena certainly outperforms The Rock in every sort.
Yet, this topic of debate has fueled among WWE fans for years. A decade ago, in a WrestleMania match in 2012, the two legends confronted each other in the ring. The match was labeled as “Once in a Lifetime”, as it was the first time in the history of WWE that Cena and Johnson encountered each other.

Their match was won by The Rock, but in the following year, a rematch was conducted where Cena avenged his defeat. Today, it’s a thing of the past, but at present, their competency is once again compared and the question arises, if hypothetically there is a Bench Press Challenge between the two, one thing is for sure that Cena being the 16-time WWE champion will defeat Johnson.
While Cena holds the record of 16 WWE wins, Johnson is a 10-time world champion. So the conclusion to the debate is when it’s about wrestling John Cena is the king. Although, if it’s about an acting career, Johnson certainly surpasses Cena in this category.

Dwayne Johnson surpasses John Cena in the field of acting
As mentioned earlier, John Cena is undeniably a better wrestler thanDwayne Johnsonas per the records. However, when it comes to their current profession, Johnson certainly has a stronger fan base than Cena. According to a debate sparked onRedditpreviously on who is better, Cena or The Rock, fans gave their opinion, which clearly stated that in terms of an acting career, they favor Johnson. A user wrote,
“Look at their instagram following Lol. Rock has about 20 times more followers, and is in the same league as megastars such as messi, ronaldo, selena gomez and ariana grande.”
As prompted by a Reddit user, Johnson’s social media speaks for itself. While Johnson has 391 million Instagram followers, Cena has nearly 20 million followers on Instagram.
Considering their Hollywood journey Johnson’s count of films again surpasses the count of Cena’s films, as Johnson has delivered at least 90, and Cena has appeared in around 50 films.
If John Cena is the king of Wrestling, Dwayne Johnson has successfully excelled in his acting career.
