The Erdtree Avatar resembles a gnarled tree that has sprouted legs and a winged staff to keep you off its lawn. It is a particularly challenging field boss to encounter because of a large health pool, powerful attacks, and a tricky moveset.
Ideally, you want to bring down a field boss as quickly as possible, but the Erdtree Avatar demands a little more caution. To have a fair chance of beating it without suffering losses, attack the Erdtree Avatar once your party has reached at least level 8.
