The sequel shows John Wick taking his revenge on the underworld, and earning his freedom. The fans have loved the franchise since its debut, featuring well-written characters, and jaw-dropping action sequences.
And with the success ofJohn Wick: Chapter 4,the franchise is advancing beyond Baba Yaga. Erica Lee, the producer of the fourth film is interested in making a spin-off movie featuring Rina Sawayama’s Akira. The fans loved this decision by the producer as her character was marvelous and despite having plenty of screen time, fans wanted to see more of the character.

Erica Lee Confirms a Spin-off Movie for theJohn WickCharacter
During an exclusive interview withScreen Rant, Erica Lee confirmed that they will be expanding their universe, and they are thinking of adding another spin-off movie to the existing list, containingThe Continentaland Ana de Armas’Ballerina.The producer explained that Bowery King is an interesting character because he knows“everyone and gets everywhere.”
“Yeah, I think the world of the Bowery King and the Bowery is something that we’re really interested in exploring more of. He sort of runs the underground, and it’s such an interesting world. How does he get the guns and the boats? He shows up everywhere. He’s the leader; he has homeless running the streets and information through pigeons. He’s low-tech and analog in a digital world, and he knows everyone and gets everywhere. I think that is something that’s really interesting to explore.”
Erica Lee continued explaining that Rina Sawayama’s Akira was a great addition toJohn Wick: Chapter 4starringKeanu Reeves, and she would be a great character with lots of stories.
“The character of Akira really pops in the movie, and I’d love to sort of see some further adventures with her character. There’s a lot! There’s a lot of characters in John Wick 4, and a lot of fan favorites from movies of the past. There’s definitely a lot of stuff we want to dig deeper into.”
One of the key elements that immensely supported the success of thefranchise is the investment in every character, which ramps up the story as the plot progresses. And this is the key reason why fans are hyped for a spin-off movie, and they supported the producer on Twitter.

Even though Erica Lee did not announce anything about Akira’s spin-off movie starring Rina Sawayama, fans have to wait for the official announcement regarding the movie. However, since the characters are from the same universe, it is possible to see Akira inThe ContinentalorBallerina.
