John Stamos has made some startling revelations in his memoirIf You Would Have Told Me.The actor has delved into several ups and downs he went through during his career, noting the importance of putting forward both the positive and negative aspects as crucial factors of his story.
Stamos revealed that he set out to present a story of success, but he later realized the importance of presenting his real journey. He dropped the idea of forging a fake heroic story to maintain complete transparency. His story underscores the struggles he faced while upholding a level of honesty.

John Stamos Asked His Agents To Get Him Off Full House
Right from the start,John Stamosdidn’t find himself enthusiastic about the prospect of being attached toFull House. He believed that Jodie Sweetin was a “scene-stealer” thanks to her on-point comedic timing, which he saw during the cast’s first reading. Besides, he felt insecure about being overshadowed by the “adorable child characters and their annoying catchphrases.” All these factors forced Stamos to develop a desire to quit the sitcom.
Once the first reading concluded, Stamos quickly made his way to the lobby, avoiding everyone who was talking about how great the reading was. Stamos promptly contacted his agent and conveyed his desire to be released from the project.
Stamos toldPeople:
“The reading ends, thank God, and I head to the lobby as fast as I can, avoiding everyone babbling how great the reading went. I dig through my pockets for change. I jam a quarter into a pay phone, get my agent on the line, and gently suggest, ‘Get me the f— off this show!'” he recalled. “I’m dying to pull the rip cord on this family-friendly hell, but I’ll fulfill my contractual obligation to shoot the pilot. Keep it professional. The thing will crash and burn faster than my reputation, and I hope I can salvage some dignity with my next project.”
Despite the inner conflict, Stamos committed to abide by his contract and filmed the pilot, maintaining a professional attitude. However, he was certain that the show would witness a downfall soon.

John Stamos Got Elizabeth Olsen’s Sisters Fired From The Show
If you’ve watchedFull House, you must be aware of the close bond that Uncle Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and his niece Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) shared. However, the same cannot be said for their off-camera relationship.
John Stamos found it difficult to collaborate with Elizabeth Olsen’s siblings, citing they were very demanding. This eventually led to their removal during the first season. During an interview on Josh Peck’sGood Guyspodcast, Stamos revealed that the two sisters faced difficulties while shooting a notable scene in the first season.
