Actor George Clooney once recalled that Crowe insulted him by saying he and two other legendary actors of Hollywood are “sellouts.” Clooney decided to keep things peaceful and sent him a message claiming that only the media will make profits from their immature feud.

In 2013, actorGeorge Clooneyappeared for an interview with Esquire magazine and recalled the time when actorRussell Croweclaimed that Clooney and two other iconic stars are “sellouts.” The actor said,
“He picked a fight with me. He started it for no reason at all. He put out this thing saying, ‘George Clooney, Harrison Ford, and Robert De Niro are sellouts.’ And I put out a statement saying, ‘He’s probably right. And I’m glad he told us, ’cause Bob and Harrison and I were also thinking about starting a band, which would also fall under the heading of bad use of celebrity.”
Clooney’s statement enraged Crowe even more, probably because he didn’t get the reaction he was expecting from Clooney.

Russell Crowe said George Clooney is a “Frank Sinatra wannabe“
Clooney further explained that Crowe’s reaction was not valid and he tried to settle the feud by sending him a message,
“That’s when he really went off on me. ‘Who the fk does this guy think he is? He’s a Frank Sinatra wannabe.’ He really went after me. And so I sent him a note going, ‘Dude, the only people who succeed when two famous people are fighting is People magazine. What the fk is wrong with you?”
Aside from his film career, Crowe is known for his solo music career. He is also known for donating a lot of his income.

Russell Crowe apologized to George Clooney
It seems like George Clooney’s message worked as Russell Crowe then sent him an apology letter along with some of his music. Clooney said,
“He sends me a disc of his music and a thing of his poetry. I think he said, ‘I was all misquoted,’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah. Whatever.’ I did take it with me to the BAFTAs, but I didn’t win. I might have used it if I had won. I was nominated for four!”
There is no doubt that Russell Crowe is a remarkable star, but his controversies sometimes overshadow his work. Crowe’s ability to portray a wide range of complex characters has made him a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.
