It appears the atmosphere behind the lenses of the legacy sequel to the Christmas classic wasn’t exactly jolly. Released in 1994,The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen, was a huge hit at the box office, racking in over $190M, and has become one of the go-to holiday picks for fans to watch. However, the two sequels, released in 2002 and 2006, failed to recreate the magic of the original, which put the franchise on the ice for 16 years before Disney revamped it.

And while the Disney Plus show, a legacy sequel to the original classic, was moderately received among fans and critics, Allen wasn’t exactly the best guy to work with perSNLStar Casey Wilson.

Tim Allen’s Demeanor Made Working on the Santa Clauses Miserable Claimed Casey Wilson
While the show was made to brighten up the Christmas mood, the production for the first season was far from cheerful, per Casey Wilson. Reflecting on her experience in The Santa Clauses, she deemed it the most miserable experience on a set because ofTim Allen‘s alleged antics. While recounting one of her worst incidents from the sets ofThe Santa Clauses, she alleged that during her scene with Allen, the actor complained to the producer as he wasn’t thrilled with Wilson’s performance. On a recent episode of herBitch Seshpodcast, she shared,
“So I’m in a scene. It’s just me and Tim Allen and I’m supposed to throw things at him. I think he’s a burglar. So he’s coming down the chimney, obviously as Santa, and I am woken up thinking there’s an intruder, basically like a home invasion scene. So I’m throwing things at him. [He] goes over to the producer who is standing four feet from me and goes, and I hear him, he goes, ‘You gotta tell her to stop stepping on my lines.’ The producer turns to me with horror on his face and has to walk one foot to me and he goes, ‘Um, Tim would ask that you stop stepping on his lines.”

Further recalling Allen’s alleged tales, she revealed that one time he abruptly stormed out of the sets, and was later told by a crew member that it was one of theToy StoryStar’s“good days.”

However, it can’t be said for sure if the allegations are entirely true or not, as Tim Allen is yet to respond to these claims. But Casey Wilson is certainly not blue about not returning to the second season of the show, as the lone reason she joined the first one was because of her kids’ love for the 1994 classic.
