The actress was a part of the superhero filmDeadpooland filmed a scene with its star, Ryan Reynolds. And, after the huge success ofDeadpool, she went on to her next project where her character was asked to film “an emotionally charged scene.” And it was there that she allegedly suffered a gruesome on-set injury that hampered her career.

When the disaster occurred, she had just turned 19. She was involved in a scene that required her to pound on a glass door during one of her final days on set. The director, of the movie, told the actress to pound harder and harder on the glass.

The Actress Sued Production Company Over On-set Disfigurement
While filming the indie filmGhostland, also known asIncident in a Ghost Land, Canadian actressTaylor Hicksonsuffered a facial injury when she crashed through a glass door. She describes a brutal cut to the left side of her face that required about 70 stitches. And she filed a lawsuit against the movie’s production company.
The accident occurred on Jul 25, 2025, according to the lawsuit, which Deadline obtained. According to the suit:

“In the course of shooting the scene, the director, consistently told [Hickson] to pound harder on the glass with her fists.”
“Prior to the injury she was an up-and-coming actor with a bright future in the movie industry,” says the statement of claim.

“Due to the injury, post incident, the plaintiff has struggled to find work as an actor and states that … she has and will continue to suffer future financial losses in an amount to be proven at or before trial.”
The actress, who turned 19 just days before the accident, spoke to Deadline about the injury:

“The crafts services lady held my face together with napkins in her hands. She went through so many napkins, there was so much blood. It’s been mass amounts of insecurity, conflicted, confused, hurt, angry, and sad that this was my last day on set and no precautions were taken.”
However, none of these allegations have been proven in court.
