How to Automatically Delete WhatsApp Messages

WhatsApp recently launched a new features called “Disappearing Messages”, that allow users to automatically delete messages after seven days, thus helping them to save up space on their phone. By default, this feature is turned off, here’s how to enable it. Let’s begin.

Delete WhatsApp Messages Automatically

You can enable the “Disappearing Messages” option for the specific chat you want to delete and WhatsApp will only delete those chats. Remember that, this will also delete messages from the other party’s phone. Anyhow if they have forwarded or enabled auto-download for photos and videos, those files won’t be automatically deleted from your device, just from the chat. Also, this feature doesn’t work on group chats as of now.

To enable the Disappearing Messages feature, open WhatsApp, and then select the specific chat that you want to delete the chat history.
