L’im the Impaler in Path of Exile 2 (PoE2) is not an easy foe to take down. Take a look at this guide to help yourself prepare.
Facing L’im the Impaler in Path of Exile 2 can be quite challenging. She is not a “main boss” because you don’t fight her to wrap up a quest, but rather a “mini-boss” that you can stumble upon while completing already existing objectives.
She is located in theForward Command Tentsarea, right in the back. You will first find someImpaled Corpsesnearby. To ensure that nobody else suffers the same fate, you must put an end to L’im the Impaler. Beware, though, she’s got quite the moves.
L’im the Impaler’s Attacks During Boss Fight
This encounter doesn’t start with an ambush as you might expect. Moreover, you will even see the fight coming because of the bodies impaled around you. However, that doesn’t mean that L’im won’t be expecting you. Look out, because she can inflict theBleedstatus effect.
One of the first attacks that you might receive is theBlood Bomb. The boss sends a projectile hurtling toward the player, and it blasts on impact, splashing blood everywhere.
Another ranged attack is when she spins around and raisesspikes from the groundin a straight line in front of her. Watch out for these because they can be fatal and also give you the Bleeding effect.
If you get within a specific close range, she can alsostab you with her spear. These stabs are always in a combo and can drain a lot of your health. Those who happen to get too close to L’im can also see her jumping high up andsmashing the ground with her spear.
All these attacks deal physical damage and occasionally inflict Bleed.
Tackle L’im the Impaler in PoE2
L’im the Impaler feels confident enough to not call upon any minions. This gives you an advantage over her. However, one slight issue that you might face in the arena is that of space. There is not much of it. So, you have to be more aggressive than usual. But make sure to evade the attacks coming from the mini-boss.
All of her attacks can be evaded by rolling sideways from where you are standing. One of the tactics you may use to damage her is coming close enough to let her start the spear stabs, rolling away, and waiting nearby to bombard her with attacks as her combo fades away.
Holding aggro in this fight will help you finish it faster because our mini-boss here doesn’t have a lot of HP compared to other “main bosses.”
Once done, gather the rare loot that she drops, and you will be free to continue on your path.
