Sylvester Stallone even went on to win the Golden Globe Award for the category of“Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture”forCreedand the moment was truly special.

During his acceptance speech, the actor was already teary-eyed when he thanked the producers of the 1976 filmRocky.Talking about how producers Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff mortgaged their homes to fund Stallone’s dream, the actor felt grateful to them for having trust in a“mumbling actor”like him.
“I’m gonna try not to get emotional. I wanna thank the legendary producers Irwin Winkler and Bob Chartoff who actually mortgaged their house to take a chance on a mumbling actor and give me the shot of a lifetime”

Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger were quick to become rivals as soon as both found fame and competed to be better than the other. Back in 1985, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the iconic movie titledCommando.During that same year, Stallone was all set to release his iconic movieRambo: First Blood Part II.When the director ofCommandohad a sneak peek at Stallone’sRambo 2,he blew his budget by having a higher kill count which led to a forceful change in the ending of Commando.
In an interview with RadioTimes, screenwriter Steven E. de Souza blamed Stallone for indirectly ruining the ending ofCommando.
“I blame Sylvester Stallone for screwing up the ending. Mark L Lester (the director of Commando) had seen a sneak peek of Rambo II and he said Stallone kills a million guys so we have to kill more guys. So what happened was, Mark went over budget putting in this giant scene where this private army gets wiped out. The random shooting of hundreds of guys was not in the script. So they burned up the budget and then said we don’t have the money to film what you wrote.”
The finale ofCommandosaw Arnold Schwarzenegger fighting the antagonist in a basement and killing him with a steam pipe. It has never been confirmed whether Sylvester Stallone ruined the ending knowingly or unknowingly.
