Following the ending of the 12-season sitcom, Kaley Cuoco found herself looking for new ventures and exploring the various things in Hollywood. Being a comedic actor, Cuoco thought of starring in something a little bit serious and ended up being cast as Cassie Bowden inThe Flight Attendant.

After having sx with a stranger, Cassie Bowden, a flight attendant, wakes up the next morning to see her partner murdered. Thinking that she might be the suspect, the flight attendant runs from the hotel in hopes of solving the murder before the police catch her. Since the sx scene was the inception of the series, it became a pivotal point to actually have a s*x scene inThe Flight Attendant…and that’s where things started getting awkward.

In an interview, the actress talked about her experience working with Michiel Huisman, who portrayed the role of Daario Naharis in HBO’sGame of Thrones.Stating that he was no stranger to these scenes,Kaley Cuocoadmitted that she had a hard time going through it.

“I had never done any sort of s*x scene ever, and I had one in ‘Flight Attendant’ with Michiel. He’d been in ‘Game of Thrones,’ so he’d done all these scenes, and I just had no idea.

She further continued,

“When they called ‘cut,’ I’d be hovering over him like I was on a toilet. I’m like, ‘I’m not touching anything, I’m not looking at anything.’ I didn’t know what to do. He was like, ‘You’re acting so weird, you’re making this way weirder than it needs to be.’ But I was totally out of my element.”

They ended up with a scene that was comfortable for both actors and the series was released.The Flight Attendantreceived rave reviews and was hailed as a notable piecework since it was something new, intriguing, and comedic at the same time. Kaley Cuoco proudly told Variety that her career was just getting started.

Under the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, the actress was given two nods from the award committee forThe Flight Attendant.Kaley Cuoco shared her excitement with Variety by talking about how this was completely unexpected for her.

“I never thought I’d get a nomination for anything, ever — that was not a goal, or a thought in my mind. I’m going to keep going up, and there’s nothing stopping me now. And I feel there’s a lot more on the horizon, because I think my career just started.”

The actress is currently busy with her upcoming project whileThe Flight Attendantended with a second season. The series, receiving a rating of 7.1/10 on IMDB and 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, is currently available to stream on Max.
