Robert Downey Jr., the man known for playing our beloved Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe had a rough past. From getting caught in drug abuse to sentencing and relationship issues with his father, the actor has come a long way and suffered a lot throughout his journey.

A video byChannel 4 Newsshowcased the full interview that the presenter Krishnan Guru-Murthy had with theIron Manactor. The video is only 7:07 minutes long, as during a round of personal questions, the actor simply got up and walked away.

The interviewer brought up the subject ofRober Downey Jr.’spast as the actor had previously spoken before regarding the matter. The actor is seen taking a heavy inhale as the topic reaches his difficult relationship with his father and“the dark periods”that the actor went into.
“Taking drugs and drinking all of that. And I just wondered whether you think…you’re free of all of that? or whether that still-”

said the interviewer until he was cut off mid-sentence by Robert Downey Jr. The actor replied,
“I’m sorry, I really don’t…what are we doing? Right…bye”

The actor simply smiled and waved at the interviewer as he got up from his chair and made his way toward the exit. The presenter was left mumbling for words as they removed the mic from the actor’s vest and simply left with a hurtful remark for the presenter.

From 1996 to 2001, the actor was arrested multiple times for possessing and abusing cocaine, heroin, and marijuana. The actor presented before the judge that he had been taking drugs since he was eight years old as his father was also a drug abuser and had been giving it to him from such a young age.

Following years of rehab, the actor made a full recovery and returned to the big screen when he starred inThe Singing Detective(2003) with the help of his dear friend Mel Gibson. Following his role as Tony Stark during the start of the MCU inIron Man(2008), the actor once again found worldwide fame. Reaching ever higher and higher, the actor has been loved and adored by the public ever since.
After Tony Stark’s death inAvengers: Endgame(2019) there could indeed be a way to bring back Tony Stark but not in the way you would expect. The Marvel theory states the limits to which the people want Robert Downey Jr. to return to the big screens once again.
