Working in superhero movies often requires stunt doubles to carry out the action sequences. With Chadwick Boseman fighting some of the Avengers during the showdown at the airport inCaptain America: Civil War,there were several CGI altercations made for him.

Boseman’s stunt double revealed that when he saw the fight sequence, it was heartbreaking for him to see the changes made in the film. Stating that even his body structure was changed via CGI, Gui DaSilva-Greene was heavily disappointed with the results.

The final showdown at the airport inCaptain America: Civil Warsaw multiple Avengers battling it out for what is right and what is the moral thing to do. With a brief introduction ofChadwick Bosemanas the Black Panther, he joined Iron Man’s side as Bucky Barnes was his sworn enemy.

Chadwick Boseman in Captain America: Civil War (2016)

During the fight scenes, Boseman’s Black Panther fought with Clint Barton aka Hawkeye. Gui DaSilva-Greene, who was the stunt double for Boseman acted in the fight scenes including the triple kick to Captain America’s shield. The stunt double was quoted byMCU: The Reign of Marvel Studiosthat he was heartbroken when he saw the film because even his body was altered through CGI to resemble Chadwick Boseman’s body.

“When I saw the film, it broke my heart a little that they had CG’d over the suit. Because then it makes certain things that I actually did look like I didn’t do it-the chase sequence or the triple kick to Captain America’s shield, I did all that”

Being a great actor, Chadwick Boseman once wanted to quit playing the role of Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of a certain condition that was requested by Marvel Studios.

With Boseman cast in the role of Black Panther, Marvel Studios wanted the actor to speak in either an American or a British accent. Boseman revealed that the accent would make it look like the country of Wakanda was colonized some time ago and he did not want that at all.

“It felt to me like a deal-breaker. I was like, ‘No, this is such an important factor that if we lose this right now, what else are we gonna throw away for the sake of making people feel comfortable?”

He further continued,

“I also worked with Sarah Shepherd, the dialect coach within Marvel, so I’d find something that people would feel is authentic and real, and that hopefully most people will understand. That was the main thing.”

It was only after Marvel Studios gave in that Chadwick Boseman worked in the iconic role of King T’Challa in the MCU. The legacy of Boseman in the MCU is available to stream on Disney+ around the world.
