Talking about a possible spin-off to the series, creatorChuck Lorreclarified the announcement. Back in April, it was announced that the universe will continue to expand with a spin-off on Max. In a recent interview onTV’s Top 5, however, Lorre stated that there has been no such confirmation so far.
“Nothing’s wound up at Max, first of all. I don’t know what you were told. But we have nothing in place at Max. Zero, nothing. No one knows anything about what this is, other than the people that have been working on it with me. And so nothing has been pitched, nothing’s been placed. So it’s all very prenatal.”

Lorre further revealed that he isn’t a fan of spin-offs or sequels and he would only continue with the project if the work is worth something.

Talking about how his work always has a meaning, Chuck Lorre revealed that the allegedThe Big Bang Theoryspin-off could only work if it is funny. Revealing that the idea must be fresh and something new, Lorre stated that there’s no point in being greedy.

” We haven’t presented this to anyone. I’m not a big fan of spinoffs or stuff like that, unless it just feels like… wonderful, fresh. This could conceivably be very different and also very funny. That’s the reason to go forward, not to keep digging in the same mine for the same precious minerals. It’s about doing something worth doing. Otherwise, it’s greedy. There’s no reason for that.”
Although the world would love to seeThe Big Bang Theoryuniverse continue to expand, Lorre’s statements were indeed true that there’s no point in greed. As for the original iconic series,The Big Bang Theory, starring Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki is available to stream on Max in the U.S.
