Mindhunterwas a series loved by many yet is only an addition to the list of many shows that Netflix has canceled as of late. After the various series being canceled, Netflix is seemingly ready to reduce its viewers rather than increase. Perhaps two seasons were all that it was destined to have. The series was produced by David Fincher.

It saw an audience intrigued by the uniqueness of the series. The question of whether or not the show would be canceled after its third season was raised. Instead, there will be no new content with regard toMindhunter. This was an even bigger surprise seeing that the setup for the third season had already been done.

MindhunterTo Sit Aside LikeWarrior NunAndInside Job
Mindhunteris not the first series to be canceled by Netflix recently.1899, Warrior Nun, Inside Job,and many more shows that are heavily loved by the audience have been canceled by the streaming service. While the first season ofMindhuntersaw the lead characters of Holden and Bill, played by Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany establish the behavioral unit in the FBI the second season followed the two working on the Atlanta Child Murders that took place from 1979-1981.
“I don’t blame them, they took risks to get the show off the ground, gave me the means to do Mank the way I wanted to do it and they allowed me to venture down new paths with The Killer. It’s a blessing to be able to work with people who are capable of boldness. The day our desires are not the same, we have to be honest about parting ways.”

On one hand, Netflix is renewing shows likeEmily in Paris. On the other hand, critically acclaimed shows are being canceled because of a bigger budget and lesser viewers according to the streaming service.David Fincherstated that he understands the decision that has been made and thanked the streaming service for letting the show run according to how he wanted it for so long.
This was further surprise seeing that the budget of the service has been divided to multiple movies and shows that haven’t done so well likeRed NoticeandYoung Royals.

The audience is even willing to step away from Netflix altogether. Ever since the password-sharing criteria were established, although now removed, the viewers are already on the edge. So to see so many of their favorite shows not continuing is just another reason for them to pick other streaming services.
