The Mandalorianbrought a new story in front of fans but it also led Pedro Pascal to become one of the fan-favorite actors in theStar Warsfranchise. Despite his face being hidden (almost) at all times behind the mask in the series, it won’t stop fans from recognizing him whenever he is in public. While there are many instances when fans make some bizarre requests to their idols, he does not like it when they ask him to use the character’s voice.

In an appearance onThe Graham Norton Show,Pedro Pascalrecalled one instance when fans asked him to speak in The Mandalorian’s voice for their kids. However, he hated the request as he called it inappropriate and creepy.

He shared,
“People come up to me and ask me to do the voice [from The Mandalorian] for their kids”adding“but I think it sounds inappropriate because it is a breathy, low register ‘bedroom’ voice.”

He explained that the voice would not sound the way we hear him on-screen as he wears a helmet which makes it different.
“It is so creepy and doesn’t work in real life.”

While his voice is the one thing that can make fans instantly recognize whether he is behind the suit or not, he has himself confirmed about not always donning the suit.

In a roundtable interview withThe Hollywood Reporter, he admitted to voicing the character at all times rather than delivering the physical performance himself.
“There was an extended amount of experimentation, being in the suit for a lot of it, and frankly, my body wasn’t up for the task as far as, like, the four months of it. But I was in it. I was in it a significant amount, an elastic amount. But now we’ve figured it out, which is super cool, and amazingly, it gave me the opportunity to be able to go and do something else.”
While there are times when he can’t express Din Djarin’s side, it is when his physical aspect gets handled by two actors, Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder. In addition to that, wearing bulky armor for a long time is surely a hectic task which is why the trio enjoys a fair share of its burden, giving Pascal enough time to focus on other things.
WhileThe Last of Usactor was unmasked at the end of the first two seasons, his face was not seen in Season 3. Meanwhile, a fourth season is currently in the works.
