Dwayne Johnson had been offered a spot in the DC Universe multiple times. Rejecting them all, The Rock wanted a special entry unrivaled by mortal actors. With 15 relentless years of hard work and convincing the higher-ups, Johnson finally released his magnum opus in 2022.

With a whopping $260 million budget (excluding the promotions), The Rock created one of the most hyped-up superhero movies only to be let down by the audience and critics. Hailed as an under-whelming performance and weak storyline,Black Adamfelt like any other superhero movie. After an average box office collection and the new DCU lineup released, Dwayne Johnson shared a message with the people on the Internet.
The Rock took to his Twitter account and shared a statement wherein Black Adam was announced to leave the DCU for its initial chapter. Like Marvel has its Phases, DCU decided to release its line-ups chapter-wise. According to the man himself, Black Adam will not be a part of DC’s first chapter. As revealed in a YouTube video, James Gunn andDwayne “The Rock” Johnsonsat down for a chat and decided that it would be in the best interest of both parties to sit Black Adam out for the first chapter of the DCU. But not everything is what it seems.

After bringing Henry Cavill back for the role of Superman, The Rock wanted nothing more than a universe that the people might someday enjoy and not wait for the story to develop slowly over the years.

It has been rumored that following the cancelation ofBlack Adamin the DCU,James Gunn, and Dwayne Johnson have got to clear the trouble between them. Since their alleged discourse, it will be tough for Black Adam to be included in future DCU projects which Gunn and The Rock have promised for now. Whatever the case, the people acknowledged thatBlack Adamby Dwayne Johnson was a unique approach to DC movies that some people liked while some did not.
