As soon as the Director said cut, Lee at once ran over to the injured Chan to apologize,
“He then threw his stick, turned around and said, ‘Oh my God’ and ran to me and lifted me up and said sorry. I was not in pain anymore. I was a young guy and very tough. But I pretended to be in pain so that Bruce Lee holds me for as long as he can. I kept pretending the whole day.”

Jackie Chan Has A Permanent Hole In His Head
Jackie Chan is not afraid of injuries and hence does the majority of his stunts on his own. While he has mostly escaped unscathed most of the time, there have been a few where he seriously got himself injured. During the shoot ofThe Armour Of God, theShanghaiKnightsstar was left with a serious injury that resulted in a permanent hole in his head and hearing loss.
It was one of those scenes where he had to drink a cup of beer and make a leap at a tree that would bend down and he could escape unhinged. But being the perfectionist he is, Chan wasn’t satisfied with just a single take. Since he was drinking real beer, after a couple of takes the actor fell down hitting his head against a rock.
The injury resulted in a long surgery with a plastic plug inserted into the hole to keep everything where it should be and a slight hearing loss in the right ear. Despite it, the star continues to perform his own stunts, even now.
