Disney+Wonder ManAddsMindhunterStar Lauren Glazier To The Cast
In an exclusive report fromDeadline,Mindhunter’s Lauren Glazier has been cast in a supporting role for the series. Her character, as well as the plot of the show, is kept under wraps. Glazier’s other credits includeTales of the Walking Deadand Apple TV+’sSee.
Wonder Man, also known as Simons Williams, is a descendant of a wealthy industrialist whose company competes against Stark Industries. He worked for Baron Zemo and received ionic talents or super strength. He also used to be an antagonist of the Avengers but eventually became their ally.

Producer Stephen Broussard spoke withComicBookin an exclusive interview and teased fans that the series is unlike anything they have seen before:
“[Wonder Man will] be definitely influenced by the comics. One of the things that we’re excited about it is that it’s going to feel very unique. It’s not going to feel like anything you’ve quite seen in the MCU before, and the kind of stories we can tell on Disney+, which has been fun.”

Other actors reported to join the cast are filmmaker Werner Herzog andBetter Call Saul’s Bob Odenkirk.

DidWonder ManAlmost Appear In An MCU Movie?
Wonder Man was almost introduced in James Gunn’sGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Nathan Fillion portrayed the character but only appeared in one Easter egg scene. Ultimately, it was removed during post-production.
Gunn explained on hisFacebookpage why he had to remove Wonder Man’s scene in the film:
“I really do love the character of Simon Williams/Wonder Man in the comics… But, of course, in a movie set 99.9% in space, I didn’t really have a place for him. So in a small flash to earth, I decided to put a theater playing a ‘Simon Williams Film Festival,’ with six Simon Williams movie posters outside… Unfortunately, the small section of the scene where they appeared slowed down the movie, and I had to cut the Easter eggs from the film.”
Now that Wonder Man is finally debuting on MCU, fans could not help but think how the show is rolling faster than other earlier announced series. In aRedditcomment, a user said, “The fact that this show is rapidly developing faster than shows that were announced before it… I’m very intrigued of why…” The frequent updates on the casting and the production of the series are, indeed, quite interesting.
Wonder Manhas no release date for Disney+ yet, so follow and stay tuned for the latest updates.
