Twitter blasts Marvel for not building up on Iron Man and Thanos’ rivalry inAvengers: Endgame
Even thoughAvengers: Endgamewas able to conclude the Infinity Saga in a grandeur fashion and delivered an iconic send-off to its most beloved heroes, involving Captain America and Iron Man. However, some fans have showcased their distaste for the MCU for missing the opportunity to establish a more personal rivalry betweenRobert Downey Jr’sTony Stark and Thanos in the movie.
InAvengers: Infinity War, when Thanos recognizes Stark and says,“You’re not the only one cursed with knowledge”, it hinted at the possibility of them sharing a more interesting dynamic in the future. But despite having a great opportunity to develop this plot point in the future, it was completely ignored in the next entry and some fans weren’t very keen on the decision.

Despite this missed opportunity, many fans were quite satisfied with how MCU decided to conclude their most beloved hero’s story. But even though the character has sacrificed himself for the greater good, his influence will still be felt in the upcoming MCU projects.
