The Marvel Cinematic Universe is nothing short of content. There are various stories meant to be told and even more characters yet to be explored. With the phases that have passed and those waiting to moon further, the entire franchise is an array of continuity that is heavily kept to be maintained. There may often be transitions of stories and otherwise, there can be those that introduce other characters.
The franchise is best known for its epic stories and the post-credit scenes that set up further projects, be it a movie or a series. In this, they may often get lost, the sense of beauty and the act of how impactful these post-credit scenes can be, it might as well be considered that these scenes have doomed the fate of the MCU.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Lineup of Post-Credit Scenes
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has over a decade’s worth of legacy in film and TV and over twenty-plus projects that narrate the story of superheroes fighting the save the world, growing from a nation to the entire multiverse. What started off withIron Man,has now settled with projects likeLokiandThe Marvels.They all tackle things that an audience of 2008 may have only ever slightly thought of.
Each of these projects has one thing in common, a post-credit scene. FromEternalsto evenBlack Widow,each movie and Disney+ series has been set to keep a post-credit scene. This has set up films likeBlade,and characters with team-ups that are now a pique of anticipation for the audience. Characters have been introduced via these scenes that the franchise is now meant to elaborate on. Eros, the story of the Black Knight, Shang-Chi’s future in the MCU, Venom in the primary universe, and so much more. There are stories that are yet to be explored. However, the question is, will they be able to come to fruition?

The Burden of Post-Credit Scenes
Whether or not a post-credit scene is really worth it does not make much sense until and unless the follow-up project really makes it worth it. A very simple example of the same would be the post-credit scene ofVenom 2.The film hinted at at least a meet if not an entire fight between Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Tom Hardy’s Venom. However, that was not the case at all. In fact, Venom barely played a part in the film. His symbiote was used to establish another project instead. In a similar manner, the post-credit scene ofBlack Widowmade it intoHawkeye,giving Yelena and Clint both an understanding of Natasha’s death.
The more post-credit scenes there are, the bigger responsibility the MCU holds for itself. At times these can be a burden and at times they can be a blessing. That, however, does not come into play until the very end. It takes a lot of patience from the fans, but in that patience comes anticipation. Anticipation leads to a sense of expectation. This can either be destroyed completely or satisfy the fans in the most beautiful way possible.
Post-credit scenes may create an issue. They force the franchise to continue on a story no matter the response. Harry Styles being announced as Eros was something that got a rather bittersweet response. Now the MCU has no option but to continue with that idea because it has already been introduced. With time, things may turn out right. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it burnt in one.
