Actually, the PlayStation State of Play that happened yesterday was Sony’s second of its kind this year, with the first one taking place a few months ago in April. The unofficial announcement regarding the event was shared bytrusted industry insiderJeff Grubb last month in August, who claimed that he had “heard” that Sony was planning another State of Play.
The news was officially confirmed on the PlayStation blog a couple of days ago, and excitement levels went through the roof as fans desperately wanted to see newMarvel’s Spider-Man 2footage at the event.

The PlayStation State of Play took placeon the same dateas the Nintendo Direct, taking considerable attention away from the competition’s major event.
