“There’s a consistency which I wanted to put into it. Maybe I’ll be remembered as the Grumpy Bond,”he cracked.“I don’t know. That’s just my Bond and I have to face up to it, that has been my Bond. But I’m quite satisfied with that.”

Daniel Craig Got Injured While FilmingSpectre
Daniel Craig took five years off betweenSpectreandNo Time To Die, the last two Bond films. While there have been many speculations as to why, Craig revealed that the main reason for this was that he had sustained quite a few injuries during the filming ofSpectre. His body was put through a lot. So much so that the star almost considered quitting the franchise altogether.
“I was never going to do one again,” he said. “I was like, ‘Is this work really genuinely worth this, to go through this, this whole thing?’ And I didn’t feel… I felt physically really low. So the prospect of doing another movie was just like, it was off the cards. And that’s why it has been five years.”

He wondered if a role was worth this much physical stress to his body. He was so worn out physically that he had been aversive to the idea of doing another Bond movie for five years until he finally agreed.
