During an exclusive interview withAbsolute Radio, theJackie Brownactor was asked if he was excited to see what’s going on withThe Dark Knightfranchise. He answered that he has not watched any of the films, but one thing he can say for sure is that Christian Bale is a“monster”in his role.

“I don’t, I’m not, I don’t know enough, I don’t, I’ve never really seen any of the beginning and not for any real reason except that you know, I don’t see a, there’s a lot of movies I don’t see. So, I can’t really comment on them except that what I’ve seen of what Chris Nolan did is, he’s so great. You know, he’s just smart, and I’m sure they’re good I don’t know but Christian Bale’s like a monster, this guy’s a great actor, you know.

The interviewer asked him the question that fans have been dying to know, that is, both of them get praised for their Batman voices but whom does he think has nailed it? Without a shadow of a doubt, the actor said“No no no, let’s be clear I got the voice thing,”for the Greatest Detective in the world.

This, of course, included his portrayal in Nolan’sThe Dark Knighttrilogy’s 2nd filmThe Dark Knight,this film is one of the best works of cinema history. It was during this discussion, that Christian Bale shared his talks with Nolan, about how they noticed a peculiar pattern in the character.

“When Chris and I first sat down, we said, ‘You know what the problem with Batman is? Is that the villains are always more interesting.’”He went on,“And unfortunately now sitting there going, ‘I’m feeling a little bit dull by comparison’ cause Heath is just like killing this.”

The actor explained that the villains are more complex and interesting than Batman, and it was during this moment the director felt the character was closer to a villain than a hero.

“and so Batman, actually, is very close to being a villain himself. So lets never let him become dull by comparison.”

While this is a big argument as Bruce Wayne has inner demons that haunt him. However, he always sticks to his moral code, though it can be counted as his flaw. Hence, it made the two feel the way they did.
