In Monster Hunter Wilds or MHWilds, Werner is the Astrum’s Unit’s Smithy. His unit is made up of Olivia, Erik, and Athos.

What Is Werner’s Role in Monster Hunter Wilds Story?

We meet Werner in the Scarlet Forest camp when Olivia introduces the team to Erik and the Astrum Unit’s Smithy. Once we are back from saving the Kunafa Village and killing Alpha Doshaguma, we interact with Werner to ask about Olivia’s whereabouts. The Smithy states he doesn’t recognize who we are before revealing where the ace hunter is (kickstarting the Beyond the Deluge chapter and later the Repel Uth Duna quest).

We will learn more once the game releases.

Apart from the two interactions mentioned in the previous section, we currently don’t have an idea regarding quests or other interactions with Werner in Monster Hunter Wilds.
