According to the starting revelations that surfaced online, Rudy Giuliani, a former mayor of New York City bears some unfavorable sentiments towards Hollywood actor Matt Damon. Based on the transcripts available from 2019, Giuliani struggled to name Republican celebrities while revealing his personal criticisms of the Oscar-winning actor.

Giuliani’s ex-assistant Noel Dunphy, who is currently suing the former mayor for sexual assault, shed light on the matter.

In the transcript, it’s clear that Rudy Giuliani, who has been a part of Donald Trump’s legal team, finds himself struggling to identify the celebrities that align with the Republican party. Citing how there aren’t many celebrities who identify as Republican when asked by his ex-assistant Dunphy, Guiliani said,“Ain’t too many.”

Furthermore, he continued,“Brad — not Brad Pitt. The other guy that looks like him.”And when his former assistant asked if he meant Bradley Cooper, Giuliani said:“No, the other one. What the hell’s his name?”

His assistant then asked if he meantMatt Damonand brought to his attention that Damon actually holds liberal views. And in response to this, Giuliani used a homophobic slur to describe Damon, followed by a disparaging comment about the Oscar-winning actor’s height. He said,“Matt Damon is also 5’2. Eyes are blue. Coochie-coochie-coochie-coo.”Notably, the slur used by the former mayor had earlier landed Damon in trouble.

Interestingly, Damon himself encountered a controversy related to the same homophobic slur used by Giuliani to describe him. In a separate instance, theJason Bourneactor admitted that he had ceased to use the offensive term in 2021.

The actor revealed that after having a conversation with his daughter, who had scolded him, he realized the gravity of his actions. He confessed that the word, which he explained he used in a light-hearted manner, was prevalent during his childhood with a very different context. However, his daughter’s reaction to his usage prompted him to reconsider its appropriateness.

“The word that my daughter calls the ‘f-slur for a homosexual’ was commonly used when I was a kid, with a different application. I made a joke, months ago, and got a treatise from my daughter. She left the table. “I said, ‘Come on, that’s a joke! I say it in the movie Stuck on You…!’ She went to her room and wrote a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, ‘I retire the f-slur!’ I understood.”

And reflecting on this exchange with his daughter, Damon decided to refrain from using the slur altogether while also acknowledging its potential to perpetuate harm.
