These conditions work as a debuff most of the time and cause many problems, hindering your progress if you don’t know how to deal with them. Status Effects in PEAK Explained
PEAK has many different mechanics, and one of the prominent ones is the Affliction Bar. As you make your way through the various biomes in the game and collect resources and items, you will notice this bar filling up. Moreover, it is an indicator of the maximum weight you can carry, which is 40. If you cross this limit and the Affliction Bar fills up completely, you will get a penalty. This debuff will hamper your stamina and slow you down.
On the other hand, there are some positive status effects that you must learn to utilize correctly. There are primarily two that you should know about: Max Stamina and Extra Stamina. The former is the highest limit of stamina you naturally have, and it gets affected by injuries,hunger, item weight, etc. The latter refers to the bonus pool of stamina you get, also known as the second bar. It only activates once you run out of your primarystamina.
