The iconic actress won her Oscar for the 2021 movie titledThe Eyes of Tammy Faye.During that time, she was in talks to star in the role of Sylvia in Michel Franco’s indie movieMemory.With her Oscar win, people surrounding the director warned him that Chastain would behave very differently now that she won an Oscar.

In an interview withIndieWire, the actress stated that she had heard all these rumors but gave her account of the story. Stating that she did not have a trailer park, Chastain proved that she was happy by just starring in the movie and no other special treatments.

“Because I have been doing bigger things sometimes and have gotten a lot of attention as of late, [there’s been the idea] that I would not be interested in being on a set without a trailer. We had the Oscars, and I won for ‘Tammy Faye,’ and then right after that, I showed up on set to do ‘Memory.’ Michel said that a lot of people told him, ‘Oh Jessica is going to leave your film because she just won an Oscar.’”

The director of the movie, Michel Franco took over and continued the conversation,

“Or that she is going to show up and be a nightmare and be a diva. I told them, you don’t know half of it. She’s the opposite. She’s going to show up satisfied, happy, and be productive. People are so afraid of actors. I don’t know why. The worst way to approach an actor or any person is with fear, and if you are pointing in the wrong direction then, yes, all your nightmares will come true.”

Well,Jessica Chastainindeed proved all the people wrong since she stated that she doesn’t need a trailer. Stating that she was an actor and not someone who wanted special treatment, Chastain starred in the indie movie.

“I’m not doing a movie to be pampered. If I want to be pampered, I’ll go to a spa. I’m doing a film to work and to be creative, and I don’t need to sit by myself in a trailer,”

In the end, Michel Franco’sMemoryreceived a rating of 7.1/10 on IMDB. The film was recently released at the Toronto International Film Festival and has already gathered an award to its name.
