Persona 5: The Phantom X just announced the release date for its global version, and its coming sooner than you might expect.
Many video game franchises have been delving into the Gacha industry. The latest in this venture is the Persona series. Titled, Persona 5: The Phantom X, the Gacha was originally released only for the Chinese market on 24 June 2025.
However, you can now play the game outside of mainland China as well (at least in some countries). The global release is just next month, on August 03, 2025.

What is Persona 5: The Phantom X
This is a Gacha spin-off game, based on the Persona series (specifically Persona 5). The protagonist (codename: Wonder) awakens to his Persona and forms the Phantom Thieves group.
You and your teammates will steal the corrupted desires of society. The game features the classic one-more turn-based combat system from the previous Persona games. So, you will feel right at home in this game’s combat as well.
When and Where is Persona 5: The Phantom X Releasing
Persona 5: The Phantom X will be released on Android, iOS, and Steam. Pre-registrations for the game are already open. However, you should note that there are many regions where it is not currently released.
Therefore, if you attempt to search for the game and it does now show up on your official Play Store, App Store, or Steam, then it is likely unavailable in your country. However, the game will likely spread to these countries over time.
You can play Persona 5: The Phantom X on August 13, 2025.
