Rainbow Six Siege Patch Notes Y9S4.2: Operator and Weapon Balancing

Rainbow Six Siege Patch Notes Y9S4.2 introduces plenty of Operator and Weapons Balancing, including Oryx, Kapkan, G36C, and TCSG12.

Rainbow Siege Patch Notes Y9S4.2 released on August 21, 2025. The devs have introduced several Operator Balancing, Weapon Balancing, and bug fixes with the latest update.

For Operators, we see Kapkan’s Nitro Cell being removed and Barbed Wire getting added. Oryx’s recovery time is reduced when dashing, dashing against a wall, and dashing against an enemy. Lesion’s Mine’s refill time has been bumped to 30 seconds from 25 and the max number of Mines is now 8 instead of 9.

In Weapon Balancing, Y9S4.2 increased the damage of TCSG12 from 63 to 75 hp. The vertical and lateral recoil of G36C has also been reduced.
