Kang the Conqueror is reigning havoc on the multiverse in the MCU, cementing his position as the main antagonist of Avengers: Secret Wars. Not only has the tyrant already slaughtered multiple versions of the Avengers, but he has also taken part in a multiversal conflict that resulted in the death of trillions. There is also the fact that he has formed his team of variants, a council that would ensure Kang’s supremacy in the multiverse.

Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, the potential antagonist of Secret Wars

With Marvel bringing in the ‘Marvel Legacy’ brand forward, this opens up a world of interesting interactions between the established canon of the MCU and All Marvel movies that appeared before the franchise was officially launched with Iron Man. One fan theory suggests that the Counqueror might already have butt heads with established teams in pre-MCU films, like the X-Men.

There could be multiple X-Men teams dead, just like the Avengers

A version of Kang could have taken over the Fox-verse

While Kang wages war against multiple versions of the Avengers, it is not far-fetched to assume that he might have encountered the X-Men in some timelines- and promptly defeated them like he did with the Avengers. While multiple actors have played the same character in the X-Men Universe, we could be looking at a team, consisting of fan favorites, entering the ring to battle it out with Kang to free their timeline of its control.

The X-Men are no strangers to branch realities and time travel. While the method of time travel is vastly different from what we have seen in the MCU, there is no doubt that Kitty Pryde’s actions in Days of Future Past might have attracted Kang’s attention.

The Fantastic Four could be a key asset for our heroes

Kitty Pryde, Wolverine, Rogue, and Professor X could be of key importance to Kang, given that a combination of their abilities makes any time travel instrument moot. No doubt, these characters might be from and center inSecret Wars, facing off against Kang with the help of the Avengers, to launch a united assault against the temporal tyrant.

Kang could also have taken over other universes pre-Secret Wars

The X-Men are not the only team that Kang could have come face to face with. The Fantastic Four have fought their own version of cosmic threats, and Reed Richards could definitely pose a significant intellectual threat to Kang. While conquering the multiverse, Kang could just as easily take over theFantastic Fouruniverse, bringing in another team to side with the Avengers and the X-Men.

Other pre-MCU properties likeGhost Rider,Blade, Sony’s Spider-Man and its reboot, Ang Lee’sHulk, andDaredevilstarring Ben Affleck could also fall victim to Kang’s multiversal crusade, uniting all the heroes in a cross-temporal dystopia, with characters like Doctor Strange, Professor X and Reed Richards serving as uniting factors.

If successful, these characters might also be able to set up a better and more competent version of the Illuminati in the wake of Avengers: Secret Wars and Avengers: Kang Dynasty.
