The Blind Sideis a movie that shares the life story of former NFL player Michael Oher and his rise to stardom. The famous player has recently filed a petition against the Tuohy family in Tenesse probate court. He has accused them of making him falsely sign conservatorship papers instead of becoming his adoptive parents.

The actress, however, is going through a rough patch in her personal life and hasn’t commented on the same. On August 5, Sandra Bullock’s partner, famous photographer Bryan Randall passed away due to ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), a nervous system disorder that slowly leads to the weakness of muscles. In a tough time like this, fans asking her to take responsibility for the facts that she wasn’t even aware of are being labeled as insensitive by Bullock’s fans.

Almost 14 years after the release of the movie,The Blind Side, its name has made it to the headlines again. As it turns out, the story of the movie is not true. In the movie, which is based on a book of the same name by Michael Lewis, it is shown that Touhys had a huge role in helping Oher become who he is today as his adoptive parents.

In the petition by Oher, it was revealed that the Touhys made him sign a conservatorship document under the false pretext of adoption papers. Previously too, the NFL player has claimed that the family did not really have as big a role in his rise as portrayed.
The player has now demanded the Touhys return all the profit that they have made through the movie and the book, along with interest. According to the reports, these profits are $225,000 plus 2.5% of the future net proceeds for each of the Touhy family members including their two biological kids. The petition claims that Oher“at no time ever willingly or knowingly signed this document and that nobody ever presented this contract to him with any explanation that he was signing such a document.”
The name of the movie being dragged into the controversy has invited trouble for the already grieving actress.
Sandra Bullock’s fans come to her defense
Amid all the controversy and backlash against Bullock, fans of the actress have her back. The fans took to Twitter to remind the“revolters”that the actress is already going through a dark patch in her life and it is best to leave her out of it. The actress wasn’t aware of the conservatorship and only acted in a movie whose script was presented to her.
