Jensen Ackles States The Major Difference Between Soldier Boy and Captain America

As fans ofThe Boysknow in the world of the show, superheroes are not born but they are made by Vought by injecting a secret serum called Compound V. The serum grants superhuman abilities to people, and Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy is the first superhero created by Vought International. In the same interview withEW,the actor believes that even though people have found similarities between his Soldier Boy and Evans’ Captain America both are very different, calling him someone who drank with your inappropriate uncle.

“It’s Captain America on his a**. It’s as if Captain America gave up super-heroism and was just your drunk and inappropriate uncle.”

The Winchestersactor stated that both Soldier Boy is from the old school, who used to party with Hugh Hefner in the Playboy mansion and represent the toxic masculinity of our society.

He’s old school. He’s from an era that is being close to forgotten, a time passed. He was World War II. He partied with Hefner in the Playboy mansion. This was just a different type of character. And he certainly represents, I think, a lot of that toxic masculinity that is so deeply rooted in a lot of what our society feels.”

Regardless, viewers of the show love Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and they can not wait to see him in the upcoming season ofThe Boys.
