In an interview withElle,Dark PhoenixstarSophie Turnerrevealed she has a lot of mutual friends with Joe Jonas, but the circumstances never allowed them to formally meet in person. Finally, the musician sent her a message through Instagram while he was in the UK with his brothers. He asked her then if they could hang out, and they spent the night at a local bar with a couple of friends. Turner shared:
“I remember the two of us spending only a couple of minutes on the dance floor, and then we just found a space far in the corner, and we just talked. We talked for hours, and hours, and hours. And I was, like, not bored. It wasn’t contrived. It wasn’t small talk — it was just so easy. And soon we were, like, inseparable.”
Jonas admitted viaThe Late Show With James Cordenthat Turner challenged him to one condition that would make her agree to date him. He revealed:
“Sophie, she said, ‘If you’re going to date me, you have to watch the Harry Potters.’ Because every Christmas, for those of you that are watching that don’t know, every Christmas in the UK they just stream and play Harry Potter, all of them. So, I watched them all, I fell in love with it.”
During the quarantine, Jonas had the chance to get back at Turner and challenge her to watch his favorite movies as well. He further added:
“And I was like, ‘Well, look, my rule is that you have to watch Lord of the Rings.’ So we’ve been binge-watching Lord of the Rings during this time and building the Legos that go with the movies, which is quite fun.”
Jonas’ binge-watching moments paid off, and the couple tied the knot in May 2019. The wedding took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, and in France the next month.

Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Struggle Over Custody Of Children
Early this September,Joe Jonasfiled for divorce from Sophie Turner claiming, “The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” They both shared viaInstagram:
“Statement from the two of us: After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”
As perPeople’s report, their children will remain in New York for the time being amid Turner’s allegation of Jonas withholding their passports and forbidding them to return to the UK.
The actress claimed that she and her ex-husband agreed to call England their home in 2022, but the musician disputed the statement and believed that they had an agreement to follow a co-parenting method. The Florida Court has given an order restricting both parents from relocating the children.
This Sunday, Jonas and Turner had a cordial meeting in New York about their co-parenting plan, but less than 24 hours after their discussion, the actress allegedly wants Jonas to hand over the children’s passports so she could bring them back permanently to the UK.
