Robert Downey Jr’s impact on the superhero world and Marvel Cinematic Universe can’t be verbalized, his 11-year-long run as the billionaire philanthropist hero, starting as a self-absorbed douche who only cares about himself and his survival, then becoming one of the earth’s mightiest heroes and eventually making the great sacrifice leaving audiences with an emotion-filled tummy and tears in the eyes but a deserved final act for the completion of his character arc eventually reaching the highest peak the MCU has ever been.

Disney to bring back Robert Downey Jr in the MCU
As phase 5 of the MCU nears, the expectations of fans seem to ascend following the enormous line of entries deluged across the next few years starting fromAntman and the Wasp: Quantumaniato be released on 17th Feb. Amidst every other release the thing that takes the cake is surely the Avenger’s next big meet up at 2025Avengers: The Kang Dynastyand 2026Avengers: Secret Warsand in the pool of rumors a new one flowed out about Disney considering bringing back Robert Downey Jr, reprising his role as Iron Man in not one but two movies.
Conversely following the underwhelming quality of the experimenting phase 4 of MCU may not encourage many to celebrate the return yet, considering the emotional investment people have in the character’s death which could be tarnished if the studio is contemplating the thought of bringing him back without proper storytelling.

During a podcast of Robert Downey Jr with Joe Rogan, the actor was asked if he ever made a comeback as the Iron Man, and Downey went on to say“To me, starting up again is off the table. I feel like I’ve done all I could with that character.”As dull as it sounds, the hope doesn’t completely die off as he didn’t deny the fact of ever reprising the mantle by stating“There would have to be a super compelling argument and a series of events that made it obvious. But the other thing is, I wanna do other stuff.”
