This guide teaches you how to navigate using the jetpacks in the Soaring Desperados mission of Chapter 4 (Final Dawn) in Split Fiction.
Split Fiction is the latest co-op game released by Hazelight Studios, the developers of the award-winning game It Takes Two. Soaring Desperados is a mission near the end of the Final Dawn chapter of Split Fiction. This mission begins right after you defeat the Overseer boss in the Run and Gun mission.

Defeating the Overseer knocks out his eyes, which Zoe and Mia use as jetpacks to complete the entirety of the Soaring Desperados mission. The jetpacks have a meter on them that indicates how much charge is left. Once out of charge, the jetpacks stop working, and the player falls. However, the jetpacks can be charged by either touching the ground or going through a colored barrier.
Learning How To Use the Jetpacks in Split Fiction
When you get the jetpacks, the game tells you how to use the boost function. Hold the jump button to boost in the air to get extra speed. Go up the platforms and then go right. Be careful of the green lasers as you go between them; touching the green lasers results in death. Then, go up through the proper colored barriers, which take you out of the side-scrolling mode.
Head into the tunnel and break the wall with your blasters. This opens up another tunnel filled with barriers, which boost you along the whole way till the end of the tunnel. This leads you to the outside of the factory onto a platform.

Hover on the Wire
Once on the platform, you have to make your way to the floating platform right in front of you. Get on the large wire and move forward. Keep your jetpack charged, as a spinning blade occasionally comes from an opening at the end of the wire. Getting touched by it results in death.
While going forward, you’re able to go left to play the final side mission in this chapter named ‘Notebook,’ which has a unique story. The portal for this mission is just to the left of the wire and can be easily spotted.

Smaller Platforms in Split Fiction
If you are done with the side mission, keep going forward and hover to the right, where both players have to use their blasters to hit the target on the flying mechanisms. Shoot the switches, which create platforms for you to stand on.
Also, don’t forget to go through each barrier as it recharges your jetpacks. Do this till the end, where you have to grapple from a hook. Use the shield buster on the switches in front of you, which opens up another tunnel full of barriers. Go through them, which leads you to the next section of this mission.

Drones and Turrets
This is a large, open area full of turrets and drones shooting at you. You can take down the turrets by shooting them to lose some of the heat on you. This can give you breathing room to think and act.
The area may seem large and confusing at first, but all you have to do is stick to the left wall. you’re able to see two sets of platforms rising periodically. With proper timing, hover over them and recharge by landing when needed. Keep hugging the left wall and move forward till you reach a larger platform with a puzzle in front of you.

Lock Puzzle in Split Fiction
This puzzle can be a bit difficult to understand at first. The first thing you notice is that both players have their puzzles, which are identical to each other. Then, you can see two openings that rise and fall in a rhythm. To solve this puzzle, both players have to:
Completing the puzzles opens up the wall on top of it, which you have to go through to reach the final section of the Soaring Desperados mission.

Avoid the Green Lasers
Once in the tunnel, avoid green barriers and lasers as you keep moving forward. Keep moving till you see a large rotating pillar with many green barriers attached to it. Drop down and use shield busters on the correct barriers. You have to go through two barriers before you fall into the final room. Here, you find two pedestals where you leave your jetpacks and move on to the next mission.
