Director Andy Muschietti recently acknowledged the rumors about the return of Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl in a potential sequel. He said,

“If [a sequel] happens, yes, I don’t think there’s anyone that can play that character as well as they did. The other depictions of the character are great, but this particular vision of the character, they just excelled in doing it. It feels like a character that was made for them.”

Ezra Miller

Reports suggest that Michael Keaton’s Batman and Sasha Calle’s Supergirl will 100% return in the sequel, however, the studios still haven’t confirmed it. One star that might not return is lead star Ezra Miller, as Muschietti isn’t a huge fan of the actor.
