Highlanderis an extremely iconic franchise from the 80s. Being as significant as it was, it is no surprise that the franchise has recently announced that it will be having a reboot, which will be directed by Chad Stahelsk, best-known for his work in theJohn Wickfranchise, and will feature Henry Cavill, who is expected to play the role of Connor MacLeod, the lead of the franchise.
This news makes many wonder if, other actors, like Cavill, who have previously been a part of superhero franchises, would also be suited to be a part of this franchise. With this, here are six Marvel or DC actors, who would be perfectly suited to play certain roles in this upcoming franchise.

1) Dwayne Johnson as Victor Kurgan inHighlander
Dwayne Johnson has showcased his capabilities in the fantasy-action genre through his work in DC’sBlack Adam. The actor would be the perfect person to play the role of Victor Kurgan, the main antagonist of this franchise, another immortal who would stand face-to-face against Henry Cavill’s character. His personality is cruel and that of a ruthless megalomaniac.
While we have never seen Johnson play a role like this, it would certainly be interesting to see him play as dark a character as Kurgan.
2) Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron played the role of Clea, the new love interest of Doctor Strange. She would, perhaps, be the perfect person to play the role of Brenda Wyatt, one of MacLeod’s love interests in the franchise who works for the forensic department of the New York police department.
3) Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman, who plays the role of Jane Foster, would be the perfect person to play the role of Heather MacLeod, the late wife of MacLeod. Though her character passes away, she could make an appearance in flashback sequences of the two together when MacLeod is remembering his time with her.
4) Oscar Isaac
Oscar Issac, who has played three different characters in the MCU, knows how to play many different types of characters.Due to this, he would be the right person to play the role ofJuan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, MacLeod’s mentor, who took him under his wing and taught him about the rules of the Game, as well as told MacLeod about Kurgan and the threat that he posed.

5) Gal Gadot
Gal Gadot, who famously played the role of Wonder Woman in DC, would be an excellent choice to play the role of Kate Devaney. She is another immortal being, who is close friends with Connor MacLeod, who spent the majority of her long life travelling the world.
6) Jason Momoa
Jason Momoa, best known for his work in the DC franchise as the Aquaman, could his past experience in franchises like this to easily play the role of another immortal friend of Connor MacLeod, playing Sunda Kastagir in the reboot. Kastagir has been close withMacLeod for an extremely long time, being a skilled warrior who came across Henry Cavill’s character when he traveled to America in 1776.
7) Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie played the role of Thena in Marvel’sEternals.Using her experience in many different genres, she could definitely play the role of a representative from The Watchers, an order of humans who are responsible for keeping track of the lives and activities of immortals, who have been around for as long as the immortals have, perhaps playing the role of a human who is aware of the existence of immortals.
